Me and Wildlife
2021,
I was going through a rough patch with my mental health. I had left my bachelor's degree in another state to return home and complete my associates due to my father being diagnosed with a degenerative illness.
Originally, I was going to work in wildlife conservation, but I realized that going specifically for that as my degree severly limited my ability to get a job in the extremely competitive field.
While pursuing my associates, I found my local wildlife rehabilitation center who allowed volunteers to come and work with the animals in their care.
This was a great way for me to continue what I loved while also getting my education. I have been there volunteering for three years now, and am hopefully getting a job there soon!
